Laser toning is an advanced, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that effectively tones, rejuvenates, and evens out the skin tone. It is a safe and proven treatment for a wide range of skin concerns such as pigmentation, melasma, dark spots, acne marks, fine lines, and wrinkles.
The main target concerns are:
- Dull, uneven skin tone
- Pigmentation, melasma, age spots
- Acne marks and scars
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Open pores
- Skin tanning
How Laser Toning Works
Laser toning uses Q-switched lasers, which produce short pulses of light that penetrate the skin's superficial layers to reach the dermis where excess melanin pigment lies. The concentrated light generates heat that gets selectively absorbed by the abnormal pigments. This thermal energy causes the shattering of unwanted pigments into smaller particles that are eventually cleared by the body's immune system.
The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser works on two wavelengths: 1064nm and 532nm. The 1064nm wavelength is effective for treating deeper pigmentation, while the 532nm wavelength targets superficial pigments. This versatility makes the Nd:YAG laser suitable for treating various skin types and concerns.
